Low temperatures and freezing wind have negative influence on hair structure, but also for roots, which can be damaged.

You shouldn’t resign of wearing a cap in winter, but choose those more loose and made out of wool, cotton or delicate materials. Don’t forget about washing the cap – after each refreshing you can rinse it in fabric softener or spray the cap’s inside with antistatic liquid, which will prevent hair from electrifying.

Undeniably, hair condition is weaker in winter, so it needs to be treated in a way that won’t worsen their condition. In winter for hair wash choose gentle products and use shampoo alternately with conditioner. Hair under the cap are oily much faster and they need to be washed more often, so make sure you won’t weight them down with heavy products.

In winter hair care very important is also proper hair nourishment. In winter season great are natural vegetable oils and all the products with oils base. During cooler months choose preparations with richer composition, larger amount of emollients, but also with silicones and paraffin, however without glycerine.

#3 Limit blow-dryer use

During winter hair are liable to very dry and warm air, like e.g. in cars, buses or heated rooms. In this time very beneficial will be protection of hair against additional work of dry and warm air from blow-dryer. It is best for hair to dry on their own during winter, and if it’s not possible, then use blow-dryer with ionisation and dry them in 80% so they could dry on their own.

#4 Properly rich diet

Don’t fool yourself – what you eat has significant influence on hair condition. If you won’t deliver hair with right amount of nourishing ingredients it will have influence on their condition during winter season, because then the need of vitamins and micro-elements is the greatest. Just an external care won’t be effective if your diet won’t be balanced with products supporting hair structure from the inside.
